The motion picture has been adapted for the big screen from a novel penned by Nick Hornby and is set for release in the UK on March 21, 2014.

Pierce is also set to team up with British actress Emma Thompson on upcoming comedy movie Love Punch.

It will be the first time the pair have joined forces for a film in their longstanding acting careers and will see them appear alongside veteran actors Timothy Spall and Celia Imrie.
